After graduating high school, I dove headfirst into the undergraduate experience at a nationally-ranked university. I earned five different teaching licenses, worked my tail off to earn scholarships, almost got straight A’s (with two B’s), kicked butt overall, planned our wedding, and secured a job before graduation. By September in the first year of my career, I panicked at the thought that I wasted the last four years of my life and tens of thousands of dollars pursuing a career I felt trapped in. I enjoyed teaching students all day, but it drained me to no end. The exhaustion persisted when I got home and resumed the endless work of grading papers and preparing lesson plans. The daily stress I experienced weighed heavily on every aspect of my life. That was not for me.

At the end of my first year of teaching, the pandemic wreaked havoc on the world. Schools and businesses alike shut down across the country. School shifted to a virtual setting and I had the opportunity to step back and consider how I wanted to continue in my career. A different type of teaching position became available, one where I could utilize some of my stronger skills- data analysis, organization, writing, and leadership. I accepted this position and have shined as an educator. I adored my first year in this position, but my second year turned sour as an ongoing result of the pandemic.

However, our past shapes our future. During my third year as a teacher, I realized my formal education and years of experience was not wasted, but instead perfectly set me up for success in the field of ads management. I developed valuable skills like data analysis, organization, management, proofreading, and many more, but felt they were not being utilized to their fullest potential. Through KL Business Solutions, I now use these skills to help build up other peoples’ lives and businesses in a more meaningful way.

My husband Logan and I work as a team and complement the other’s skill-set. After much consideration, we started our own company where we help other businesses realize and reach their own goals of growth. Serving others is what we value above all else.
